13 women have joined together in the Made to Crave study to explore where God fits into our healthy lifestyle pursuits. Does God really care what I eat or whether I exercise? Isn’t this something I can handle on my own? We are just talking about food here aren’t we?
Yes this does seem to be one area we can handle all on our own. Pretty straight forward – eat to live. Or is that live to eat?
If you lean toward the latter, it may be time to shine a little spiritual light into this part of your life. God has a reason to be in every part of our lives, even those parts we think we are handling just fine on our own.
See when what you eat, how you feel physically or how you see your body become a central focus in your life, you are using up God’s time. He has plans for you, things for you to do every day. You only have so much time to accomplish his work and you need a strong, healthy body to do it. You don’t have time to be obsessed with wondering if your pants make your behind look big. Nor can you be effective if you feel like a slug after 2:00 every day.
God wants each of us to have strong, healthy bodies and he will help us find victory in this area of our lives if we will ask him to. Let’s take some time this week to get our clocks set on God’s time!

On the subject of strong, healthy bodies, I hope that WOW will be promoting a team for the 2011 Komen Race for the Cure. It’s a good cause, good exercise, and great fellowship!
Good connection point, Julia. WOW never passes up an opportunity to support the pink! Yes, details about a Komen Race for the Cure team will be announced soon. Join us, everyone!
